Governor Hochul Suing Trump To Keep Charging New Yorkers A Toll To Drive In The City

New York Governor Kathy Hochul is suing President Donald Trump over his decision to axe the controversial congestion toll that would charge people driving in New York $9 a day.

Trump saying that ‘Congestion pricing is dead’ to which Hochul replied that

“Public transit is the lifeblood of New York City,” adding that “The MTA has initiated legal proceedings to preserve this critical program. We’ll see you in court.”
The Trump administration plans to pull the federal approval that was made during the Biden Era, According to Secretary Sean Duffy.

In a statement, Duffy called the toll "a slap in the face to working class Americans and small business owners," adding that his agency would work with New York state on an “orderly termination of the tolls.”
