A tragic leap and a psychological nightmare.
On May 1, 1947, Evelyn McHale jumped from the Empire State Building, landing atop a limousine in a hauntingly serene pose. Dubbed the ‘most beautiful suicide’, her story remains one of history’s greatest mysteries.
