Thursday Bible Life Today Current Events and Bible Prophecy 2-20-2025

Our subject matter is current events relating to Biblical Prophecy, and today we will be considering the city of Damascus. Our primary Scripture passage will be Isaiah chapter 17. We find Damascus referenced in Scripture 60 times in 55 verses in the Bible. The first time is Genesis 14:15 and the last time is in Galatians 1:17.
The question or prophecy that is of interest is that Damascus is prophesied to be totally destroyed and left as a ruinous heap.
The interesting thing about that in our day is how Damascus has been in the news and a focal point in the war that Israel has been in for over a year. It appears we may be at the edge of this prophecy being fulfilled. At least that is some speculation of modern day prophecy writers and researchers.
