Cheating ex got dumped by her AP after they spent all her divorce money. Now she wants me back!

This story is told by a middle aged man who describes how out of the blue one day, his wife just up and left him. He thought their 29 year marriage was solid as they had always gotten along great, and had wonderful children and grandchildren together. Then one day he comes home and she tells him she'd been having an affair with another man and she was no longer in love with him. To make matters worse, she presents him with divorce papers on the spot, then runs off that same night to be with her AP. As you can imagine, our man is crushed by this and it takes a great toll on his mental and physical health. Eventually with the support of his family, he pulls himself together and gets his life back on track. Then, several years later, his ex-wife shows up broke and alone after getting dumped by her AP when her divorce proceeds ran out.
