In a heart-wrenching testimony before the House Foreign Affairs Committee, United States Marine Corps sniper Sergeant Tyler Vargas-Andrews revealed shocking details about the disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal, directly blaming decisions by Joe Biden, Mark Milley, and Lloyd Austin for the deaths of 13 U.S. service members and over 170 civilians.

Vargas-Andrews, a decorated sniper, described how he was denied permission to take out a suspected suicide bomber, despite having clear intelligence on his identity and location. "Plain and simple, we were ignored. Our expertise was disregarded. No one was held accountable for our safety... The withdrawal was a catastrophe. There was an inexcusable lack of accountability," he stated with an emotional voice.

The sergeant recounted that on August 22, an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) test had been conducted in a canal near the headquarters, a clear sign of ISIS or Taliban activity. Days later, they were ordered to be on the lookout for two suspicious vehicles, but the focus remained on human surveillance. On August 26, around 2 a.m., intelligence confirmed the presence of a suicide bomber at Abbey Gate, with a detailed description matching a man that Vargas-Andrews and his team spotted that same day. Despite alerting their superiors and requesting authorization to act, the response was an ambiguous "I don't know" from their commander, allowing the suspect to disappear into the crowd.

The testimony turned more personal when Vargas-Andrews recounted how, shortly after being relieved from his watch to help locate an Afghan interpreter, he became a victim of the attack that resulted in his own mutilation and the death of his comrades. He described the horror of being thrown by the explosion, waking to a scene of death and chaos, with his body severely injured by over 150 shrapnel pieces.

This testimony not only highlights an operational failure but demands an investigation and prosecution for murder of all those responsible, starting with Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, whom Vargas-Andrews disdainfully refers to as 'Woke' Austin.
