Shocking Video Of 'Delta' Plane Crash & Bursting Into Flames Before Flipping At 'Toronto' Airport

Shocking new footage captured the disastrous landing of the Delta Air Lines plane that flipped over at Toronto Pearson International Airport on Monday — showing it bursting into flames and then tipping over as it skidded on the snow-covered runway.
Horrifying new footage shared on X shows flames erupting out of Delta Flight 4819 as the plane skids to the ground amidst harsh conditions, including blustery 40 mph winds that sent snow swirling through the air.
Massive orange flames can be seen sprouting out of the back of the plane before the fire eventually turns to a thick, black cloud of smoke.
The plane appears to tip onto its side as it skids onto the ground, knocking off a wing before flipping belly-up.
Other footage shows the plane landing from afar and immediately sprouting a fireball before flipping over.
Despite the flames, all 80 passengers and crew aboard were safely evacuated. Although 18 were hospitalized, none were badly injured, officials said during a Monday night update.
Emergency crews quickly responded to the wreckage, which was partially on fire as it tripped up its landing, shaving off part of the wing and tail.
Other footage showed firefighters dousing the flames with water as the plane wreck laid still belly-up on the runway.
It was not immediately clear what caused the plane to go belly-up, but Toronto’s Pearson Airport Fire Chief Todd Aitken noted that the runway “was dry and there were no cross-wind conditions.”
Flames ignited near two firefighters while they jumped out of the plane’s exit. Investigations into the crash are ongoing.
The mangled Bombardier CRJ-900LR, which left Minneapolis for Toronto earlier that morning, was left smoldering on the snowy tarmac as dazed passengers scrambled off and firefighters snuffed the blaze.
The crash followed a weekend winter storm in the area which dumped nearly nine inches of snow on the airport, forcing crews to work overnight Sunday to clear key runways.
It’s the first major incident involving a commercial passenger jet since the Jan. 29 crash of an Army Black Hawk helicopter and American Airlines flight 5342 at Ronald Reagan National Airport, in which 67 passengers and crew were killed.
Investigators are working to uncover how exactly the Delta plane ended upside down on the runway.
