Baptists – Never Part of Catholics

The truth is, Baptists didn’t come out of the Protestant Reformation. We were never part of the Catholic Church to begin with. The Bible teaches that Christ established His church during His earthly ministry, and that church continued through the centuries—often in hiding, often persecuted—but always holding to the doctrine of believer’s baptism, local church autonomy, and salvation by grace through faith.
