Terence Crawford Says Bill Haney Gave Him the Idea to Fight Canelo

In a recent interview with Cigar Talk, Najee asked Terence Crawford when the idea came to him that he wanted to fight Canelo? Crawford explained it was Bill Haney's idea for Bud to fight Canelo.

Bill Haney told Bud that's your fight. Bud thought about it and said he sized Canelo up, and he realized that Bill is right. That's when he decided to fight Canelo.

Terence Crawford was then asked when he thinks he'll retire from boxing. Crawford replied, "When I want to." Bud says I will retire on my terms.

I'm gonna retire from boxing before I let boxing retire me. When I retire, I'm gonna feel good because, when I retire, I did my way.

When I came back from Crawford's training camp back in June 2024, I explained to the Tru Media Family why I feel Bud will retire in 2025.

I heard nothing from Bud, or anyone on his team. I went off of my observation and intuition. In this interview, Bud explains the hit pieces the media put out on him once he came to the welterweight division.

Crawford was real in this interview; he explained why Canelo is the biggest risk of his career. We'll get into the interview during the show.
