“The operators of a pro-Palestine restaurant have accused Sydney's Daily Telegraph newspaper of sending a Jewish man into the cafe to provoke a reaction from staff or customers.

Daily Mail Australia has been told Mr Birenbaum was wearing sunglasses which could record any confrontation or interactions he had while identifying himself as Jewish.

A message posted to the restaurant's Instagram account on Tuesday outlined what allegedly happened at Cairo Takeaway, located in the inner-west suburb of Newtown, earlier that day.

'Yesterday, just after opening our restaurant at midday, a white male came in and ordered a hibiscus tea, with no fuss, whatsoever,' the post stated.

'After receiving the tea the ordered, he lingered in the restaurant and remained standing near the counter.

'At this point, the server asked if there was anything else he wanted. He replied: "Do you have a problem with me because I'm Jewish?"

The post stated the staff member 'tried to disengage by walking outside', but was confronted by the Telegraph team 'waiting in ambush'.

Daily Mail Australia understands the team was filming for a proposed documentary and intended to record 'a day in the life of a Jewish person in Sydney'.

It is further understood the team had previously spent several hours that day in other Sydney suburbs but had not obtained any confrontational footage.”

Another reason why I voted against the Hate Crimes Bill. What if someone provokes or fakes a scenario to create a story about a fake hate crime.

Remember it was only two weeks ago the bombs in caravan story was exposed as a lie to create fear about terrorism to rush through more draconian Hate Crime laws.

This is a low act from the Murdoch press who seem more focused on finding fake antisemitism to divide Australians than holding the major parties to account for the cost of living and housing crisis.

Let’s not forget Murdoch media backed the deep state with their wars on terror in the Middle East two decades ago that resulted in the refugee influx from same countries causing the assimilation problems we have today. These wars were also based on lies made up by Intelligence Agencies.

The fear mongering and dog whistling by the media need to be called out for the hypocrisy it is. If the major parties are serious about the problems immigration is causing they would slash immigration.

Furthermore they would stop getting involved in unwinnable and costly wars that result in refugees fleeing their own countries and migrating to the western countries.

Immigrants need to leave old conflicts and hatred behind when coming to Australia. Australians are sick of the division and distraction that these ancient divisions are causing.
