God shaped humans in His image and breathed life into them, giving them authority in heaven and earth. This made Lucifer envious, wondering why God would elevate dirt by breathing His spirit into it.

As a result, Lucifer grew to hate both God and humans. He vowed to destroy humanity, believing they had taken the place he once held with God. He then went ahead to declare war against God and heaven, also enticing the watchers whom God placed over humanity to watch over mankind. He violated God’s holiness with his pride, his love for glory, and his desire for promotion; all these sins led to him being driven down from heaven.

In addition, Joseph asserts that God created all things for mankind, citing Proverbs 8:22-31 to establish that Jesus delighted in the sons of men, unlike Lucifer, who took mankind as his sworn enemies out of jealousy for them.
