Chris Farley on Letterman
Chris Farley, the beloved comedian and actor, struggled with drug addiction for much of his life. He gained fame on Saturday Night Live and in films like Tommy Boy, but behind the scenes, he battled a serious addiction to drugs and alcohol. Farley’s struggles were widely known, and he had a difficult relationship with substance abuse, which he had been dealing with since his early days in comedy.
Farley had been to rehab several times, but his addiction continued to take a toll on his health. His weight also played a role in his struggles, as he was known for his physical comedy and often overate as a way to cope with his emotional issues.
Sadly, on December 18, 1997, Chris Farley passed away at the age of 33 from a drug overdose, which was attributed to a combination of cocaine and morphine. His death was a tragic loss, as he was still so young and had so much more to offer. His battle with addiction is a reminder of the pressures that many face in the entertainment industry and the devastating consequences it can have.
