The notorious YouTube troll known as "The Mouse" has once again demonstrated their unrelenting obsession with Matt Taylor, resorting to increasingly desperate and depraved tactics in an attempt to provoke a reaction.
In a recent display of insensitivity and cruelty, The Mouse falsely claimed that Taylor’s close friend and mentor, John Wanoa, had died, evidently hoping to elicit an emotional response. When this failed to achieve the desired effect, The Mouse stooped even lower, posting an image of Katrina Moron, the mother of Taylor’s children, along with a distasteful remark questioning the age differences between her partners and Taylor’s children.
This attack appears to have been a feeble attempt at retaliation against Taylor, who had previously questioned the age gap between Emily T and her partner, Harry Munker. However, The Mouse’s move was widely seen as crossing the line, given that Katrina has no involvement in this toxic social media sphere and did not give permission for her image or name to be used.
Determined to continue their barrage of harassment, The Mouse then posted an old photograph of Taylor with his then five-year-old daughter, accompanying it with the snide remark: “Now his countless videos and blogs consist of recycled rubbish.” The inclusion of an innocent child in their smear campaign marks yet another low point in The Mouse’s increasingly erratic online behaviour.
The Mouse’s latest descent into outright depravity came in the form of a so-called “apology” for previously referring to Taylor’s deceased mother in the most despicable terms. In an apparent attempt at dark humour, The Mouse wrote:
“I would like to apologise to Taylor from Brighton for calling his mother a £5 a time whore who serviced 100’s of men. She actually charged £10.”
The depraved exchange continued when one of The Mouse’s supporters, a user going by the name of Smith and Sams, responded: “£10 for syphilis seems a bit steep.”
The Mouse, showing no remorse or restraint, replied: “I believe a lot of punters demanded refunds.”
Smith and Sams then added: “Pay once, all the other rides are free.”
Such vile remarks demonstrate the depths to which The Mouse and their followers will sink in their ongoing campaign of harassment. While The Mouse may revel in their online antics, their increasingly unhinged behaviour only serves to highlight their desperation for attention and their failure to provoke Taylor into retaliating.
Despite The Mouse’s best efforts, Matt Taylor remains steadfast, refusing to be drawn into the troll’s trap. If anything, this latest series of attacks further exposes The Mouse as a desperate figure grasping at straws in their failing bid to undermine Taylor’s reputation.
The question remains: how low will The Mouse go before they finally hit rock bottom?
