What Happens When You Steal a Car and Lead Police on a Chase?

on 2/12/24, An Officer with the Des Moines Police Department was on routine patrol on the South side of the city when a car drove past the officer on the opposite side of the road at a dangerously high rate of speed. The officer immediately turned around and began following the car but did not get too close, or activate his lights so he could have time to notify officers about the situation.

The suspect allegedly was driving speeds up to 130 MPH.
