RCBW defeated DCW by 8 wickets in the 4th Match of Tata WPL 2025

The 4th Match of Women’s Premier League 2025 was played between Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women and Delhi Capitals Women at Kotambi Stadiunm Vadodra on 17th February, 2025. In this match Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women defeated Delhi Capitals Women by 8 wickets. In this match Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women won the toss and opted to bowl first.
Delhi capitals Women while batting first posted total of 141 all out in 19.3 overs and gave target of 142 runs to Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women to win. In reply Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women scored 146 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 16.2 overs and won the match by 2 wickets.
DCW lost Shafali Verma in the very first over of the match caught by Smriti Mandhana of the bowling of Renuka Singh at score of one run. She went without scoring. Then other opener Captain Meg Lanning added 59 runs for the second wicket with Jemimah Rodrigues who was second to go out scoring 34 runs from 22 balls hitting 4 fours and 2 sixes. Meg Lanning scored 17 runs, Annabel Sutherland made 19 runs and Sarah Bryce contributed 23 runs.
Renuka Singh and Georgia Wareham took 3 wickets each and two wickets each were taken by Kim Garth and Ekta Bisht.
In reply RCBW started brilliantly and made 146 runs for loss of two wickets only in 16.2 overs and won the match comprehensively by 8 wickets.The openers Smriti Mandhana and Danielle Wyatt-Hodge added 107 runs for the first wicket and took the game away from DCW. Smriti Mandhana made her highest score in T20 scoring 81 runs from 47 balls hitting 10 fours and 3 sixes. She was first out caught by Arundati Reddy of the bowling of Shikha Pandey.
Danielle Wyatt-Hodge scored 42 runs and was caught by Jemimah Rodrigues of the bowling of Arundati Reddy. Ellyse Perry remained not out on 7 runs and Richa Ghosh not out on 11 runs and won the match for RCBW.
Renuka Thakur Singh was adjudged the Player of the Match.
