Lacoste Pour Femme EDP Review - Affordable Fresh Floral Perfume for Women 2025 Update

So, I recently reviewed the Lacoste Pour Femme EDP, which my wife picked up for $30 at Burlington Coat Factory. This 1-ounce bottle from 2003, now 22 years old, still holds up quite well, though there might have been some reformulation. Right off the bat, you get this burst of white florals with a hint of apple. My nose isn't the most trained, but I couldn't pick up on the pepper that's supposedly in there according to Fragrantica. The atomizer works fine, and for the price, it's pretty impressive. The initial aroma is quite nice if you're into florals, but if you're not, this might not be your cup of tea.

The floral scent here isn't overwhelming; it's light and airy, giving off this clean, almost aquatic vibe that reminds me of fresh laundry. There's a blend of rose, hibiscus, and jasmine, but it's very subtle, not the kind that smacks you in the face. As it dries down, the scent gets even lighter, introducing a nice mix of suede and cedar, keeping the floral notes but in a very soft, elegant manner. It's a very feminine, pleasant scent that's not about to make a loud entrance into a room but will linger nicely on you. I think three sprays are good enough for my wife, but it's all about preference; one spray just doesn't do much.

Overall, this fragrance is a safe bet for anyone over 20, but it's not too mature for younger women either. It's not the sugary sweet kind that teens might go for, but rather a sophisticated, powdery floral that's perfect for professional settings. It's not going to be too much for the office or any formal occasion. If you're not a fan of floral scents at all, you might want to pass, but for those who appreciate a clean, floral fragrance, this could be a great blind buy. No real complaints from me; it does what it promises at a great price point.
