"They are a far-right party, largely ultraconservative in ideology, and they can refer to their voters as much as they want. The truth is that they are outside of what this Federal Republic of Germany needs in terms of substance, both in economic policy and immigration policy, and that is why I am saying this very clearly again. There will be no collaboration with this party."

Alice Weidel: "I hope they understand what is missing from this discussion, which is never about content, as we will get to that shortly, but only about a shameless approach towards the Alternative for Germany. They are a liberal conservative party, and to be clear, the problems in this country would not exist today without the culprits who are here, the three of them."
