Unknown man throws firebomb into woman's house in Springdale

A firebomb attack on a house on a normally quiet street stunned neighbors and officials and launched an arson investigation Sunday. A neighbor said an unknown man drove up Grandin Avenue in a silver and blue Dodge Dakota truck, got out, ran up to the house and threw the firebomb through a front window. “Oh my goodness,” the neighbor said in describing the incident on a 911 call. A small fire started in the house, but the homeowner's son put out the flames with a kitchen fire extinguisher, according to Tom Lindsey, chief inspector of the Springdale Fire Department.
