Gonzalo Lira's last public video.

Late in July '23 after being offline for a worrying amount of time, because of his re-arrest and subsequent imprisonment (and torture), he was release obsessionally on bail (so the Ukrainian authorities say) with his passports and driving license, So Gonzalo made his way to the border thinking he was free to go. He videos himself before attempting to cross, not knowing if he would be successful or not. This turns out to be his last public video as he was re-arrested again and imprisoned, only this time he never survived it.

There are many questions left unanswered to this day. Chiefly why the Biden administration refused to look out for Gonzalo and why it let an American Citizen die in a foreign country without so much as a formal protest.

We must not forget, we must not forgive, and we must not forego Gonzalo's mission to find and expose the truth no matter how dangerous it is, because it is something worth dying for.

RIP Gonzalo. A true example for our time.
