An Earthquake With A Magnitude Of 3.9 Occurred Inside The Phlegraean Fields Caldera

An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.9 occurred at 15:30 (local time) inside the Phlegraean Fields caldera, a volcanic area where seismic activity has increased again in recent weeks. The epicentre was in the Gulf of Pozzuoli at a depth of 2.5 km. The tremors were felt throughout the Phlegraean area, especially in Bacoli and Pozzuoli, as well as in the centre of Naples, where numerous reports were received. (February 16, 2025)
