ROME Proscriptions! FOR THE ENEMIES OF STATE
the slaves were to slay there masters, woman were to inform on there husbands, children were to inform authorities on there parents, Proscriptions in ancient Rome were a form of political violence that involved the public condemnation and punishment of people deemed enemies of the state. The term comes from the Latin word proscribere, which means "to publish in writing".
How did proscriptions work?
The names of the proscribed were published on death lists in the forum. A death note, HE WHO SLAYED THE PERSON ON THE LIST GETS PART OF THE SLAYED ESTATE AS REWARD. Proscriptions were a traumatic attack on the Roman political elite.
Many leading men were murdered.
Households were corrupted.
Some families were ruined, while others were made rich.
Modern use of the term
The term "proscription" is still used today to describe state-approved murder or banishment. It can also refer to the suppression of opposing ideologies or the elimination of political rivals
