The Fast & Furious series has had ups and downs, but Hobbs & Shaw (2019) was a fan favorite. Starring Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham, it shifted focus from Vin Diesel’s character and earned a 67% critic score and 88% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes, making over $750 million worldwide.

Now, more than five years later, writer Chris Morgan, who recently worked with Johnson and Chris Evans on Red One, shared an exciting update about a possible sequel. Though there’s no release date yet, it's good to know the project is still in development, especially with the main Fast & Furious series ending soon.

The first film had a star-studded cast, including Idris Elba as the villain, Vanessa Kirby as Shaw’s sister, and Helen Mirren as Queenie. Ryan Reynolds also made a cameo. Director David Leitch, known for Bullet Train and The Fall Guy, brought the action to life.
