AEW Grand Slam Australia Review—Great Crowd, Bad Booking! #shorts

Folks, AEW Grand Slam Australia was… something. The crowd? Fantastic. The wrestling? Pretty good! The booking? Typical AEW mess.

We kicked things off with a big tag team match—Konosuke Takeshita & Kyle Fletcher vs. Kenny Omega & Will Ospreay. And let me tell you, this was GOOD. Omega and Ospreay got the win with a One-Winged Angel/Hidden Blade combo. Great way to start the show!

Then we had Mercedes Moné defending the AEW TBS Championship against Harley Cameron. And folks, this was NOT great. Mercedes won with the Money Maker, but let’s be honest—this was meh. AEW needs real challengers for her, not this.

Then we got a Brisbane Street Fight—Cope & Jay White vs. Death Riders (Moxley & Claudio). And let me tell you, this was WILD. Blood, weapons, chaos—the usual. But in the end, Cope tapped to Moxley’s Bulldog Choke. And the crowd? NOT HAPPY. Folks, huge mistake letting the hometown guys lose in a street fight. Bad booking, bad optics, very AEW.

Next up—Kazuchika Okada defended the AEW Continental Championship against Buddy Matthews. Great match, great energy. But then? Okada hit a low blow behind the ref’s back and THEN hit the Rainmaker to win. Really? A cheap win for Okada? Terrible decision.

And finally, the main event—Mariah May defended the AEW Women’s World Championship against "Timeless" Toni Storm. And folks, this should have been a HUGE moment! Toni Storm, in Australia, winning the big one! And she did—but by rollup. A rollup! Not a decisive win, not a strong finish—a cheap rollup.

AEW had a hot crowd, some great matches, but they made some really bad choices. Australia deserved better! Believe me. #AEW #GrandSlam #Wrestling #shorts
