All Things Spiritual-Revelation 11

Revelation 11:1 describes an angel guiding a man to measure the temple of God and the altar, and those worshipping therein. The temple represents the entire gospel church, assessing its structure, constitution, and adherence to gospel principles. The altar represents religious worship, focusing on the authenticity and placement of the "altars." Worshipers are measured for their motivation, standard, devotion, and conduct worthy of the Gospel.

The outer court, which was not part of the original temple design, is excluded from measurement. This space, possibly intended for Gentiles, is abandoned to their influence. Worshipers in this "outer court" are rejected by God and aligned with His enemies.

A temple and altar will exist in the world until the end of time, with God maintaining vigilant oversight. Worshipers confined to the outer court are rejected, and only those who worship "within the veil" (in true faith) are accepted. The holy city, representing the visible church, experiences significant oppression in the world, but its desolation is temporary before its ultimate deliverance.
