2 Corinthians 12:1-10

The apostle Paul shares his glorious experience of being caught up to the third heaven, Paradise, to a personal audience with God. In this experience he heard marvelous things, but was not allow to share what he heard. Such an experience could result in spiritual pride, so Paul was given a "thorn in the flesh" in order not to exalt himself. We are not told what this "thorn" was, only that Paul sought the Lord three times to take it from him. God's answer: "My grace is sufficient for you." Those words are true for us as well. No matter what we must endure in this life, God's grace is sufficient!
