DCW defeated MIW by 2 wickets in the 2nd match of WPL. Niki Prasad POTM

2nd Match Women's Premier League 2025 between Delhi Capitals Women and Mumbai Indians Women at Kotambi Stadium, Vadodara on 15th February, 2025.
In this match DCW won the toss and opted to bowl. MIW batting first could manage to score 164 runs all out in 29.1 overs.
Nat Sciver-Brunt top scored with not out 80 runs from 59 balls hitting 13 fours, Harmanpreet Kaur made 42 runs from 22 balls hitting 4 fours and 3 sixes and Yastika Bhatia contributed 11 runs. No other batter even reached to double figures and were all out within 20 overs.
At one stage MIW were 105 runs for 2 wickets only in 10.4 overs and it looked MI will post huge total above 200 runs.
But after dismisal of Captain the MI scumbed to DC bowling.
Annabel Sutherland took 3 wickets, two wickets were taken by Shikha Pandey and one wicket each went to Alice Capsey and Minnu Mani.
In reply DCW batted Commandbly and won the thriller on the last ball of 20th over by scoring 165 runs for 8 wickets and won the match by 2 wickets.
DC openers quick fired and added fast 60 runs for the first wicket in 5.5 overs only with Shafali Verma hammering all around with 43 runs from 18 balls only hitting 7 fours and 2 sixes. Captain Meg Lanning scored 15 runs.
Niki Prasad U19 captain in her debut match scored 35 runs from 33 balls. Sarah Bryce contributed 21 runs. Radha Yadav remained not out on 9 runs with Arundati Reddy not out on 2 runs from the only one last ball which she faced and won the match for DC requiring 2 runs from last ball.
Amelia Kerr and Hayley Matthews took 2 wickets each. One wicket each was taken by Shabnim Ismail, Nat Sciver-Brunt and Sajeevan Sajana.
Niki Prasad was declared Player of the Match.
