Michael Fish's NBC26 Storm Shield weather forecast

We have a weak area of low pressure and an approaching cold front today, which will start to bring us some occasional showers as the day wears on. Temperatures will once again climb into the mid and upper 50s. If there are some breaks in the clouds during the afternoon, I would not be surprised if we get near 60 degrees. Winds will be steady out of the southwest to start but later in the evening change out of the northwest around 10 to 20 mph. We will see gusts near 30 mph. Any stray lingering rain showers will come to an end Friday evening. The weekend will be chilly with highs in the lower to mid-40s. On Saturday, a secondary cold front will provide a chance of a few additional scattered showers across the area. Some of these rain showers could turn into a rain snow mix, especially farther north you live. A dry stretch of weather returns Sunday through next week Thursday.
