SCRIPTURE READING FOR TODAY
Gen 29:13-17

13 As soon as Laban heard that his nephew Jacob had arrived, he ran out to meet him. He embraced and kissed him and brought him home. When Jacob had told him his story,
14 Laban exclaimed, “You really are my own flesh and blood!” Jacob Marries Leah and Rachel After Jacob had stayed with Laban for about a month,
15 Laban said to him, “You shouldn’t work for me without pay just because we are relatives. Tell me how much your wages should be.”
16 Now Laban had two daughters. The older daughter was named Leah, and the younger one was Rachel.
17 There was no sparkle in Leah’s eyes, but Rachel had a beautiful figure and a lovely face.

The Word of God To Meditate On Today
Gen 29:15 - Jacob Obtains Favour With Laban
The blessing of God on Jacob made the favour of God to accompany him to his Uncle's house. Laban insisted that Jacob shouldn’t work for him without pay just because he was his relatives. He requested how much his wages should be. That was the favour of God. Favour always accompany the Blessed. Seek God's blessing, by invocation, that is by your deliberate connection to the source of blessing. One of Jacob's secret was his passion and love for God. May you be blessed in Jesus' name!

Father, help me seek deep connection with You by the power of the Holy Spirit Ps. 34:10

10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: But they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.

Only with my eyes shalt I behold And see the wicked receive their rewards. Because I have made the LORD, my refuge, Even the most High, my habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, Neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For God shall give his angels charge over thee, To keep thee in all my ways. They shall bear me up in their hands, Lest I dash thy foot against a stone. I shall tread upon the lion and adder: The young lion and the dragon shalt I trample under feet. Because I have set my love upon God, therefore will He deliver me: He will set him on high, because I have known His name. I shall call upon Him, and He will answer me: He will be with me in trouble; He will deliver me, and honour me. With long life will God satisfy me, And shew me His salvation. So shall it be for me and my household throughout this week in Jesus' name!
