On Tuesday, this container ship hit the Willemsbrug bridge in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

The captain apparently failed to calculate the air draft which missjudged the vertical clearance to pass safely under the bridge. They lost 5 containers with no injuries. The vessel also did not stop upon impact, and continued to plow right on through. The bridge did sustain damage but the severity is still unknown.
