Why do we fear judgment? Why does shame silence us? The answers go back to the very beginning—back to the Garden of Eden.

In this episode of *Rivers of Living Water*, we explore the origin of shame through the biblical account of Adam and Eve. Before their disobedience, they lived in *perfect honor*, fully aligned with God. But when sin entered the world, shame followed. They hid from God. They lost their place of honor. And their story is our story.

Yet, the Bible offers hope! Just as shame entered through one man, honor is restored through another—Jesus Christ. Through His death and resurrection, He removes our shame and restores us to a place of honor before God.

Join me as we unpack these deep truths from an **honor-shame** perspective, drawing insights from **Middle Eastern cultural contexts** and **Asian traditions** (*没脸 méi liǎn*, Hokkien *bo-bin*).
