De-Stemming the Strawberries

After rinsing the berries in cold water, use a paring knife to remove any dark, bruised, or rotted spots. Next, you will need to scoop out the stems and leaves with a paring knife, tip of a spoon handle, or even one of these amazing little tools I got from Pampered Chef 30 years ago (it's also good for de-seeding Jalapeño Peppers!). I like to slice them thinly from top to bottom for those pretty heart-shaped slices, but time was short for me today. Just dumped them in the food processor with the slicing blade attachment and LET ER' RIP!
