SCRIPTURE READING FOR TODAY
Gen 29:1-5

Jacob Arrives at Paddan-Aram Then Jacob hurried on, finally arriving in the land of the east.
2 He saw a well in the distance. Three flocks of sheep and goats lay in an open field beside it, waiting to be watered. But a heavy stone covered the mouth of the well.
3 It was the custom there to wait for all the flocks to arrive before removing the stone and watering the animals. Afterward the stone would be placed back over the mouth of the well.
4 Jacob went over to the shepherds and asked, “Where are you from, my friends?” “We are from Haran,” they answered.
5 “Do you know a man there named Laban, the grandson of Nahor?” he asked. “Yes, we do,” they replied.

The Word of God To Meditate On Today
Gen 29:1-2 Jacob Drawn To A Well
How did Jacob find his relatives when he got to close? He was drawn to a well, which he saw from a distance. A well is a fountain of life. We are refreshed at wells. God allowed a number of significant events to occur at wells, they become a symbol of God’s blessing and care. Hagar's eyes were opened to see a well from where her son's life was saved; Abraham and Isaac made agreements with Abimelech over wells; Isaac's servants dug well that were dug in the days of Abraham; "With joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation" Is 12:3. Jacob also saw Rachel at the same well where Rebecca was found. When you drawn to the fountain of life, good things begin to happen to you like it did to Jacob here.

Personal Supplication
Father, by the power of the Holy Spirit, let be supernaturally inclined to the fountains of life, where good is ordained for me in Jesus' name! Job 22:21

21 Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace: Thereby good shall come unto thee.

Weekly Protection Covenant Declaration
Because I dwell in the secret place of the most High, I Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: My God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver me from the snare of the fowler, And from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover me with his feathers, And under his wings shalt I trust: His truth shall be my shield and buckler. I shall not be afraid for the terror by night; Nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walks in darkness; Nor for the destruction that wastes at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, And ten thousand at thy right hand; But it shall not come nigh thee throughout this week in Jesus' name!

Only with my eyes shalt I behold And see the wicked receive their rewards. Because I have made the LORD, my refuge, Even the most High, my habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, Neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For God shall give his angels charge over thee, To keep thee in all my ways. They shall bear me up in their hands, Lest I dash thy foot against a stone. I shall tread upon the lion and adder: The young lion and the dragon shalt I trample under feet. Because I have set my love upon God, therefore will He deliver me: He will set him on high, because I have known His name. I shall call upon Him, and He will answer me: He will be with me in trouble; He will deliver me, and honour me. With long life will God satisfy me, And shew me His salvation. So shall it be for me and my household throughout this week in Jesus' name!
