Science City’s Flower Show Blooms with Color and Creativity
Pushpa Gujral Science City organized its Annual Flower Show, attracting over 500 students, gardeners and general Public by celebrating the beauty of nature. The event featured a variety of competitions, including painting, fresh flower arrangements, dry flower displays, Rangoli and potted plant exhibition.
Speaking at occasion , Dr. Munish Soin, Scientist-D, Science City, emphasized the importance of flowers and environmental conservation. He said that Science City’s Flower Show is a wonderful way for individuals and families to spend time together while learning about floral biodiversity of the region . "The event not only celebrates flowers but also encourages people to appreciate nature and take care of the environment for a better future. Further he highlighted the Flower Show at Science City provided visitors with a refreshing and educational experience.
Results of the competitions: In the Rangoli competition (college category), Anand College, Kapurthala achieved the first prize. KMV College, Jalandhar, and Guru Nanak Institute of Nursing, Jalandhar secured the second and third prizes, respectively.
In the school category, Mahavir Jain School, Jalandhar, secured the first position, while St. Soldier Divine Public School, Kapurthala, and DAV Model High School stood second and third, respectively.
In the Dry Flower Arrangement competition, Mr. Jasbir Kaur from Kapurthala received the first prize. Ms. Vaishnavi from Parvati Jain School, Jalandhar, and students from HPP High School, Kapurthala, secured the second and third prizes, respectively.
In the Fresh Flower competition, Rachna from Kapurthala stood first, while Poonam Saini from Nishkam Sewa Society, Jalandhar, and Kiran from HMV College, Jalandhar, received the second and third prizes.
