AN ADVENTURE MINE INTO SNOWY HISTORY

The "Adventure Mine" located in Greenland, Michigan was a copper producing mine that is still full of copper to be mined out when the price rises high enough. After a short hike thru the mine, we were led to this deck to see the freshly fallen snow over the forest along with a history lesson about the powder house. It was always built away from where people lived and also away from the mine itself, it was designed to blow the roof off so they could just rebuild it if it went off.
