Week 3 Readings of our 2025 Chronological Bible-in-a-Year Reading Challenge see us smashing out Genesis 21–41.

In this tutorial, Chad encourages us to see the Four Generations of Patriarchs—Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and 'the boys'—as the driving narrative point of these 21 Chapters as we build towards the story of how Joseph, and his brothers, came to be in Egypt.

Chad's suggested reading plan for this week includes breaking these chapters into four sittings, focussing your attention on the stories of:
- Isaac and Rebekah (Gen. 21–25);
- Jacob and Leah (Gen. 26–30);
- Jacob and Esau (Gen. 31–36);
- Joseph and his brothers (Gen. 37–41)

Remember to keep your eyes out for recurring motifs in these beloved origin stories, as we continue to appreciate the Book of Genesis as an Ancient Book, of Ancient (Covenant) History), Revealing Prophetic Patterns and Themes.
