Has the Jack the Ripper mystery been solved?
I'm glad I write cozy mysteries instead of gorey stuff! But Jack the Ripper has always fascinated me.
DNA evidence has just linked DNA from one of the crime scenes to one of the suspects, Aaron Kosminski.
But one of the things that has always puzzled people is, why did the killer stop after five victims? Aaron was institutionalized in 1891, but the last ripper murder was in 1888.
Hm...
This is what happens when you take a tour of your local crime lab and learn that DNA isn't as infallible as the TV crime shows would lead you to believe. But I took that tour eight years ago. Maybe it's better now.
