Dark Souls Remastered | A good time to equip a Ring of Sacrifice is with Seath the Scaleless

A Ring of Sacrifice allows you to keep your status when you die, but the ring then breaks. That means you keep your humanity (if you're human) and any soft humanities on your ticker and you also keep your souls. You can get multiple of these rings each run, so you might as well use them when it's useful.

Seath the Scaleless is a boss that was meant for us to die on during the first encounter because you then respawn in the prison cell in The Duke's Archives, a place the player hasn't yet been at this point in the game. There is a trick you can use where you don't have to die on this boss. I've seen speedrunners do it.
