An Evil Mind, Episode 24A - Gold Eagle Books & extended Bolan-verse

The brainchild of Don Pendleton, The Executioner series of novels headlined by Mack Bolan amassed 631 novels and counting. Pendleton, himself, wrote 37 of those books starting with The Executioner #1: War Against the Mafia in 1969. Harlequin Books, under their division Gold Eagle Books, continued to publish Bolan well into the 2000s making Bolan one of the best selling secret agents this side of James Bond.
In fact, Pendleton created Bolan largely in response to Ian Fleming's British spy. The author gave Bolan an American sensibility and more of a harder edge than the genteel Bond.
Announcements of a Hollywood appearance for the character have thus far remained only announcements.
