Mar. 28, 1965 - Dr. Martin Luther King appeared on the NBC-TV program “Meet the Press” this evening and called on America and the world to engage in a massive economic boycott against Alabama.
Dr. King also served notice that civil rights demonstrations would continue in Alabama until Negro demands were met. He also said he would attend memorial services Tuesday in Detroit for Mrs. Viola Liuzzo, slain following a civil rights demonstration in Alabama last week.
