The film highlights key moments, including the establishment of the Martin Luther King holiday, a wreath-laying ceremony at the Lincoln Memorial, and Rev. Jesse Jackson’s speech at Howard University on Dr. King’s enduring impact on civil rights.
The video also features President Ronald Reagan speaking to elementary school students about Dr. King on January 15, 1986, the unveiling of a bronze bust of Dr. King by sculptor John Woodrow Wilson in the U.S. Capitol rotunda, reflections from Andrew Young, and Martin Luther King Day celebrations in Washington, D.C., including the unveiling of the Martin Luther King Freedom Mural by artist Don Miller.
