Chocoladefabriken Lindt & Sprüngli AG, operating as Lindt, is a Swiss chocolatier and confectionery company founded in 1845, renowned for its chocolate truffles and bars. Headquartered in Kilchberg, where its primary factory and the Lindt Home of Chocolate museum are situated, Lindt is one of the largest chocolate manufacturers in Switzerland. The company’s origins trace back to 1836, when David Sprüngli and his son, Rudolf Sprüngli-Ammann, acquired a small confectionery shop in Zürich, producing chocolates as David Sprüngli & Son.
