Trump Al Smith Dinner 2024 - Gives billions to Cardinal Dolan

Trump at the Al Smith Foundation Dinner in 2024 gives a peculiar shout out to Cardinal Dolan and says Dolan called him up saying they were in dire need of funds for the schools or they would shut down. Trump says give me 15 minutes and says he called him back, can't say the number it's so big, but it was 'billions'... Like huh?? Billions from where? Whose money? Authorized by who? Why are we funding Catholic schools with taxpayer dollars? Or is this just more Trump feel good drama, that is 'amplified' to make his ego feel better? And now he's shutting all this funding down. That's good, but what happened here?
