Pandemic Studios began in 1998 as an investment equity from Activision. It was started by two former Activision employees who were put in charge of Pandemic Studios. The first Pandemic Studios games were released in the late 90s and were sequels to previous games from Activision. Pandemic Game Studio found success in the Star Wars franchise after developing Star Wars The Clone Wars and continued to make more titles for the IP. Star Wars became associated with Pandemic Studios Games after Battlefront was created. After four big hits with Star Wars Battlefront, Destroy All Humans, Full Spectrum Warrior, and Mercanies, Pandemic Studios started on four sequels that would ultimately lead to the collapse of the company.
