Scottsdale Airport's runway closed after jet crashes upon landing, 1 dead

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — At least one person is dead following a jet collision reported Monday afternoon at the city airport in Scottsdale.

The crash has closed down the runway and authorities said there in no time to reopen the runway yet.

According to the FAA, a Learjet 35A veered off the runway after landing and crashed into a Gulfstream 200 business jet on the ramp at around 2:45 p.m. It's not yet clear exactly how many people were on board the jets.
