Stargate SG-1 : GWoT Star Trek?

Looking back on Stargate SG-1, a few things come into focus. One being that, like Star Trek before it, Stargate speaks to the liberal ideals of mutual respect and progress. But while Star Trek is a story from the WWII generation, Stargate reframes those same ideas through the lens of the shift from the late ‘90s “end of history” era to the Global War on Terror.
