**Ingredients:**
*For the Custard Filling:*
- 500 ml full-fat milk
- 4 egg yolks
- 2-3 tablespoons sugar (adjust to taste)
- 3 tablespoons cornflour
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
- 2-3 tablespoons Qarshi Jam e Shirin (a rose-flavored syrup)
*For the Tart Crust:*
- 100 grams butter (at room temperature)
- ¼ cup icing sugar
- 1 egg (at room temperature)
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1½ cups sifted all-purpose flour (add more if needed)
*For Assembling:*
- Banana slices
- Apple slices
- Peach slices
- Cherries
**Instructions:**
1. **Prepare the Custard Filling:**
- In a wok, bring the milk to a boil.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg yolks and sugar until well combined.
- Add cornflour and vanilla essence to the egg mixture and whisk thoroughly.
- Gradually add ½ cup of the hot milk to the egg mixture, whisking continuously to temper the eggs.
- Pour this tempered mixture back into the remaining hot milk in the wok.
- Add Qarshi Jam e Shirin and cook on low flame, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens to a creamy consistency.
- Remove from heat, transfer to a dish, cover with cling film, and refrigerate for 1 hour.
- After chilling, whisk the custard until creamy and transfer it to a piping bag. Set aside.
2. **Prepare the Tart Crust:**
- In a bowl, mix the butter until smooth.
- Add icing sugar and blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
- Incorporate the egg and mix until well combined (about 4-5 minutes).
- Add salt and mix thoroughly.
- Gradually add the sifted all-purpose flour, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Cover the dough with cling film and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Grease a 10-inch tart pan. Place the chilled dough into the pan, spreading and pressing it evenly across the base and up the sides. Trim any excess dough from the edges and prick the base with a fork.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (356°F) for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow the tart crust to cool completely before removing it from the pan.
3. **Assemble the Tart:**
- Once the tart crust has cooled, pipe the prepared custard evenly over the base.
- Arrange banana, apple, peach slices, and cherries on top of the custard in a decorative pattern.
- Refrigerate the assembled tart until chilled before serving.
- Slice and enjoy!
