He began his political journey at the age of 13 by joining the Labour Party, where he rose to prominence as the youngest-ever chair of the Scottish Labour Party in 1981.
Galloway served as a Member of Parliament for various constituencies between 1987 and 2015. Known for his outspoken opposition to the Iraq War, he was expelled from the Labour Party in 2003 and later founded the Respect Party, which he led until 2016.
In 2019, he established the Workers Party of Britain, advocating for class politics and an independent foreign policy. Beyond politics, Galloway is recognized for his humanitarian work, media presence, and contributions to public debates.
