My viral winter cough syrup recipe is back because so are the sniffles 🤧❄️ (recipe below).

Store-bought cough syrups for toddlers really don’t do much and are expensive 💸— let’s DIY your own that’s actually effective! SAVE THIS! 💡

RECIPE:

- 1 cup honey 🍯 (raw & unfiltered is best)

- 1 cup water 💧

- 1 whole lemon 🍋, chopped

- 1 whole ginger root 🧡, chopped (I used ginger concentrate cubes)

- 1 tablespoon oregano 🌿

- 1 tablespoon cinnamon 🌟

- 2 tsp turmeric 🟡

- 2 tsp black pepper (activates turmeric) ⚫️

Put it all in a mason jar, place it in the fridge for 48 hours, then you can strain or scoop out the chunks if desired! I add a bow to mine and give them out as gifts 🎀✨.

*** Pediatricians recommend waiting until 2 years old to give honey; ask yours and use your judgment! 👶🍯

Lasts 1-2 months in the fridge. If you skip the water, it’ll last even longer and taste stronger, but if you take it daily, it’ll be gone by then.
