John 3:16 was referred to by Martin Luther as the Gospel in miniature. In this sermon, we spend most of our time seeking to understand what this very familiar Bible verse means and how the context of the verses around it help us understand it correctly. This is both a call to trust in Christ for salvation and a training in what the key aspects of the Gospel are. It is also a warning to us about the judgment that threatens us if we ignore the Gospel.
