Be Accepting. Be Generous. Be Kind.
In the last 15 years, GiGi’s Playhouse has made significant progress and impact in supporting individuals with Down syndrome, but they have only scratched the surface. Still, new parents are not receiving the positive encouragement they need from medical professionals upon receiving a diagnosis. Students with Down syndrome still experience unfounded discrimination at school and on social media. Qualified adults with Down syndrome still can’t access meaningful jobs. Generation G is a campaign they've launched to encourage people to be accepting, generous, and kind. Joining us to discuss GiGi's Playhouse and Generation G are founder Nancy Gianni and Sarah and Daphne Koehn from GiGi's Playhouse Milwaukee. Take the Generation G pledge to be accepting, be generous, and be kind at GiGisPlayhouse.org/GenerationG.
