Hit-and-run driver hits deputy on Hamilton Ave.

A driver hit a deputy while he was directing traffic along Hamilton Avenue, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.  A driver in a blue Honda Civic hit the deputy at about 11:43 p.m. Thursday as he was driving northbound on Hamilton Avenue in a construction zone. The deputy had been directing traffic near Sevenhills Drive when the driver struck him, dragged him and drove away.
